As an explicitly Open and Affirming congregation in the United Church of Christ (UCC), Agape is welcoming to all people, and in particular those who have been marginalized or outcast by church and society. Agape affirms that LGBTQIA persons are created wonderfully and beautifully by God just as they are.
Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies in the UCC which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Agape is proud to support local ministries like the LGBT Asylum Task Force rooted in Hadwen Park UCC Church in Worcester, MA.
